Location
From the idyllic setting of the Rock Glen you can explore the many sandy beaches nearby, at Mannin Bay or Ballyconneely. Or why not take a trip to nearby Roundstone village, passing by the historic landing site of Alcock andamp; Brown and, nearer the village itself, the beautiful Dog's Bay. Connemara is perfect for hillwalking, and for river, lake and sea-fishing. If you want to go pony-trekking (Connemara is famous for its ponies),the hotel can arrange it for you.
Rooms
The 27 bedrooms all have facilities en-suite, 14 of which are on the ground floor. Each room has a TV, radio, trouser press, hair-dryer and direct dial telephone. All bedrooms are furnished with your comfort in mind, and to provide a relaxed atmosphere.
Restaurant
The restaurant, well known for it?s excellent cuisine has earned three AA rosettes specialising in modern Irish cooking with a French/Asian influence. Open all year round, it offers excellent service and attentive staff along with the menus for which it has become famous.
Lounge/Bar
At the end of a hard day's leisure, come in to the hotel bar where plump armchairs outnumber bar stools and a turf fire glows all year round. You can enjoy an evening of musical entertainment with the resident pianist. Spontaneous sing-songs occur regularly, and you are invited to join in.

The Rock Glen Hotel is situated on Ardbear Bay, just south of Clifden, on the west coast of Ireland.
